A photographer who has caught my eye is Lennart Nilsson.  I had never heard about Lennart Nilsson until I googled “A famous Swedish photographer,” for my presentation a few weeks ago. I looked at his work and started to read about his life as a photographer and got stuck. I think what caught my attention at first was to read about his passion to photography. Lennart dedicated his entire life to photography. He got his first camera as an eleven-year-old boy and knew back then that this was what he wanted to do. I like the way he takes his photographs of people. His main objective is to reveal the personalities of the people he takes photos of. They are often action photos. Photography for me is to capture special moments to keep them as memories forever. I really think he does a great job doing that. I would rather look at a family photo where the family members interact and show their emotions than a family photo where all family members are all lined up symmetrically, all smiling and looking into the camera. I also thought his life work; A Child Is Born was very impressive.
